What is discrimination?

QUOTE: “We do not discriminate and we are not bigots.” –David A. Bednar, 23 February 2016. [source]

COMMENTARY: Hm. Maybe the rules are different. If Nephi is commanded to murder Laban, then you can’t say he is a murderer. If the prophets are commanded to discriminate against gays, then you can’t say they discriminate. If Joseph Smith is commanded to illegally marry other women behind Emma’s back, then you can’t call him an adulterer. If the church is commanded not to accept children of gays, then you can’t say they are bigots. Apparently, when God commands something evil, people who obey him are super righteous and super awesome and so you have to change the normal meaning of words when talking about them. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
