COMMENTARY: I was a true believer and an active Mormon, and I easily dismissed negative facts about the church that I couldn’t explain away. Then one day I gave myself permission to follow truth no matter where it might lead. To me, loyalty to truth is far more important than loyalty to an institution. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
