SCRIPTURE: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” –Matthew 7:15-20. [source]
COMMENTARY: By their fruits ye shall know them. The fruit of an apple tree is an apple. The fruit of a peach tree is a peach. The fruit of a cherry tree is a cherry. The fruit of a prophet is a prophecy. The fruit of a seer is a translation of ancient scripture. The fruit of a revelator is a revelation. During the 52 ½ years since he was first sustained as a prophet, seer, and revelator, Thomas Monson has produced no fruit that would warrant those titles. I can say with complete confidence that, as nice of a guy as he is, there is absolutely no way that he is a prophet, a seer, or a revelator. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
