COMMENTARY: If you were paying attention in science class, you understand that Genesis’ version of events in no way represents reality, and that there never was a first man and first woman. There was, therefore, no Garden of Eden, no Adam, and no Eve, which means there was no Fall. Without the Fall, the Atonement is completely meaningless. So that pretty much obviates everything your religion has ever told you, except that little “do unto others” thing, which, come to think of it, you already knew without religion having to tell you. So guess what? You can be completely free of religion and still live a happy, fulfilling, and good life. Thank you, Russell, for helping us understand how everything fits together. The truth really can set us free. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
