QUOTE: “There will be times when you will walk a path strewn with thorns and marked by struggle. There may be times when you feel detached—even isolated—from the Giver of every good gift. You worry that you walk alone. Fear replaces faith. When you find yourself in such circumstances, I plead with you to remember prayer. … As we seek our Heavenly Father through fervent, sincere prayer and earnest, dedicated scripture study, our testimonies will become strong and deeply rooted. We will know of God’s love for us. We will understand that we do not ever walk alone. I promise you that you will one day stand aside and look at your difficult times, and you will realize that He was always there beside you.” -Thomas S. Monson, October 2013. [source]
COMMENTARY: Here’s a fun game to play the next time you find yourself trying to stay awake through General Conference: listen to all the talks of the prophets and see if you can tell any difference between their words and what you might read in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. It will really open your eyes. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
