SCRIPTURE: “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:” -Exodus 20:10, KJV. [source]
COMMENTARY: Why does Sunday seem like the busiest day of the week for Mormons? What would you do with an extra day off each weekend? I’d actually obey the scriptures, and take a day of rest. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.
The Sabbath that the Bible is referring to has always been what we know as Saturday. It is the seventh day of the week.
True. Many churches, including the LDS Church, though, observe the Sabbath on Sunday. They have their reasons for that, but that topic is orthogonal to the idea expressed in this post.
