Tree of knowledge

SCRIPTURE: “And I, the Lord God, took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden, to dress it, and to keep it. And I, the Lord God, commanded the man, saying: Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it, nevertheless, thou mayest choose for thyself, for it is given unto thee; but, remember that I forbid it, for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” –Moses 3:15-17,25. [source]

COMMENTARY: If you sit down and really think about it, when you contrast Lucifer’s actions with God’s, it sure seems to me that maybe people have it all backward. God commanded Adam and Eve to remain ignorant and naked. Lucifer helped them acquire knowledge and modesty. Seems like maybe Lucifer is the good guy in this story. But what do I know? I’m just another apostate.

    1. The scripture quote above implies that they were ignorant of what is good and what is evil, doesn’t it?

    1. I guess absence of good is like a zero on a scale, good is a positive value and evil a negative one. Evil is more than the absence of good.
      Why do you ask?
